Logged Out of LAMPS?

Modified on Fri, Jun 23, 2023 at 7:32 PM

If you are getting logged out of LAMPS, it could be because...

a. You are clicking the back button instead of using the links within LAMPS. We are making changes that should allow for using the back button but for now, don't use it. Use the LAMPS links instead

b. Your IP address changed while you were logged in to LAMPS. For security (to protect against hackers), LAMPS will log out a user if a change in the IP address is detected. Any changes to your network while logged in could cause you to be kicked out.

To help determine if this is the problem, please take the following steps:

  • Note your IP address (whether via screenshot or otherwise) before logging into LAMPS. You can find your IP address using several websites (e.g., https://www.whatismyip.com/)

  • Note your IP address again after getting kicked out of LAMPS

  • Email two screenshots of your IP address -- one before logging in and one after being kicked out of LAMPS -- to support@hcinfo.com

  • If your IP address changed while logged into LAMPS, we recommend contacting your IT department about any network policies that result in your IP address changing

If your IP address is not the issue (it did not change), and you are still getting logged out of LAMPS, please answer (as best you can) the following questions in an email to support@hcinfo.com:

  1. What browser are you using?

  2. How much time passed between logging in and getting kicked off?

  3. How many LAMPS tabs were open in your browser?

  4. Did you have a LAMPS pop-up window (e.g., add user window) open when this happened?

  5. What area of LAMPS were you using when you got kicked off? Does the same area or link give you the problem each time, or does it change?

  6. Was your internet connection lost/restored during this time?

  7. Are you using a VPN? If so, did you turn it off or on after logging in?

  8. Do you have browser extensions installed that disable/clear cookies when you close the browser (or close the pop-up window)?

  9. Are you being sent to a 403 error page or back to the LAMPS login page?
