Renewing a LAMPS Site

Modified on Wed, 21 Feb 2024 at 12:31 PM

Renewing your LAMPS Plan, Benchmark, or Complete site is easy. Renewal orders are placed from the Sites dashboard rather than from the LAMPS purchase page:

Expiration occurs at midnight UTC time on the expiration date. For example, if the expiration date is Feb 21, access to the LAMPS site would end at midnight on Feb 21 which would be 4:00 PM Pacific time (7:00 PM Eastern Time) on Feb 20.

To renew, the original Purchaser should log in to LAMPS, click Sites at the top, click on the “Renew” link next to the site name, and complete the checkout process. Only the Purchaser sees the Renew link in the Sites dashboard. The other users see the Purchaser's name and email but not the Renew link.

The renewal price for one year is the same as the first-year price in place at the time of renewal. In the checkout page, you will see an option to renew for 2 years at 15% off or 3 years at 25% off.

Volume discounts are given on renewals based on the number of sites in the purchaser’s account, even if renew just one site at a time.

The new expiration date will be:

  • One year from the original or previous expiration date if you renew before expiration (so you are not penalized for renewing early).
  • One year from the renewal payment/access date if you renew after expiration (so you do not pay for days you did not have access).

Renew on time to avoid the following reactivation fees:

$50 if renewed 1-30 days after expiration

$200 if renewed 31-90 days after expiration

$300 if renewed 91-180 days after expiration

$400 if renewed 181-360 days after expiration

After one year you are better off creating a new WMP than renewing a long-expired one, for two reasons: (1) You can avoid the reactivation fee, and (2) You won't have to check the default text of each control measure field to see if yours needs to be updated. However, if you purchase a new WMP instead of renewing, you will have to re-enter your water system information, upload new flow diagrams, and re-enter test results in the analytics databases.

If you do not want to renew. If you decide the WMP hosting, updating, documentation, analytics, training, reporting, and notifications are not worth the yearly fee, you may download the PDF version of your WMP before expiration and continue using it as-is, without changes, for the one site, within the limitations of the LAMPS terms of use.

If you purchased additional users, After you click 'Renew' next to the site name, the checkout will show the additional users on a separate line and you can renew them in the same transaction as the site renewal. If you do not want to renew the additional users, click here and see the 3 steps in the last section.
